Logistics/Warehouse Coordinator
Description
- Receiving:
- Inspect and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Unload, unpack, and process incoming goods.
- Record and report any discrepancies or damages.
- Store items in designated locations within the warehouse.
- Shipping:
- Prepare and pack outgoing shipments according to company standards.
- Create shipping labels, bills of lading, and other required documentation.
- Coordinate with carriers for pick-up and delivery schedules.
- Verify accuracy of outgoing shipments, ensuring proper packaging, labeling, and documentation.
- Inventory Management:
- Update inventory records in the warehouse management system.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Notify management of low stock levels or inventory discrepancies.
- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of all shipping and receiving transactions.
- Ensure all documentation complies with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Communication and Coordination:
- Work closely with the warehouse team, purchasing department, and customer service to coordinate shipments and deliveries.
- Address and resolve any shipping or receiving issues promptly.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Follow all safety protocols and ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Report any safety hazards or incidents to management.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping and receiving, warehousing, or logistics.
- Familiarity with shipping software and warehouse management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to lift and carry up to [weight] pounds.
