Description
- Conduct regular audits of HR policies, procedures, and practices to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Monitor changes in employment laws and work with HR and legal to update company policies and forms accordingly.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR compliance requirements and best practices.
- Execute compliance projects and tasks.
- Work with HR and legal to develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and best practices.
- Communicate policy changes and updates to employees and management.
- Provide training and guidance on compliance-related topics to HR staff and management.
- Ensure accurate and timely recordkeeping of all compliance-related documents and reports.
- Prepare and submit required compliance reports to regulatory agencies.
- Maintain documentation of all compliance activities, including audits, investigations, and corrective actions.
- Assist in handling employee relations issues related to compliance, including complaints and investigations.
- Conduct thorough investigations into potential compliance violations and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with HR and legal team members as needed to address complex compliance issues.
- Support litigation needs.
- Identify potential compliance risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Implement corrective actions to address identified compliance issues.
- Provide recommendations for improving HR compliance processes and procedures.
- Develop and deliver compliance training programs for employees and management.
- Ensure that all employees understand and adhere to compliance policies and procedures.
- Stay informed of industry trends and developments in HR compliance to continuously improve training programs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in HR compliance, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Familiarity with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
- Professional certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
