Position Highlights | The College of Social & Behavioral Sciences is seeking a detail oriented, data focused, Business Administrator to work in the Department of English Modern Languages Business Center. The Modern Languages Business Center is part of the College Business & Finance Team. We are decentralized, working in the units we serve, providing hands on expertise, leadership and guidance to the unit staff, faculty and students. Business personnel for the SBS Business Center in the Modern Languages building successfully manage unit finances, grants, student fees and many other complex business and financial matters. It is important that this position be able to perform these tasks at a high level. Business center personnel in the College of SBS work to provide excellent business support to administrators, faculty, staff and students. They work in a collaborative environment to improve reporting processes and customer service.

Duties & Responsibilities | Independently manage and control accounting, budgeting, auditing and other financial or related functions to ensure the financial integrity of the large organizational or academic units serviced by the SBS Business Center. Oversee the review, approval and reporting of expenditures assigned to their research portfolio. Post-award management, effort report certification and cost share management. Perform human resource functions in the SBS Business Center to include by not limited to personnel hiring, job and employee data changes and leaves and termination processes. Budget preparation and completion of required certifications for grant proposals. |
