Position Summary / Career Interest:
The System Clinical Product Advisor collaborates with physicians, clinical staff, procedural operational staff and department leadership to identify areas of optimization within preference/procedure cards across multiple sites and physicians for efficient case preparation, elimination of supply waste, limiting clinical variation, case cost reduction, and improvement of contract compliance. They will do this by case observations, contract and product research, analyzing data and making recommendations based on their findings. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to supply preference/procedure card analysis, product trials & evaluations, process improvement projects in relation to supplies, and cross training for other Utilization Management team responsibilities.
Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for establishing relationships with surgeons, physicians, clinicians, and support staff to best support and optimize the products used in the perioperative and procedural areas.
- Educate end-users on the importance of supply optimization amongst procedures and the supplies utilized within those procedures across the health system
- Collaborate with end-users on program process to gather data, make changes to procedural supplies and monitor and sustain the results of those supply changes
- Observe procedures to understand the overall operational efficiencies needing improvement as it relates to supplies on preference/procedure cards.
- Observe and document the end-to-end process associated with preference cards as they relate to supply management. Establish a workflow and call out supply chain opportunities for improvement (both short-term and long-term improvements).
- Responsible to maintain confidentiality of Personal Health Information (PHI).
- Responsible for achieving price savings by standardizing and reducing variation in procedural supply utilization across service lines and surgeons and physicians.
- Partner with supply chain functional areas to reduce inventory levels and returns within the procedural areas
- Partner with all necessary departments to align objectives and set expectations and responsibilities of each department involved in procedural supply management.
- Partner with service line specific departments to build out data requests to drive decisions on procedural supply management
- Partner with other spend management functional areas on new product education and communication.
- Help to receive feedback from clinical end users on Trial products, previously approved new product additions, and reprocessed products.
- Partner with end users on recall and non-conforming product responses.
- Responsible for ensuring end users are utilizing the correct version or procedural product including substitute or discontinued items.
- Advocate for enhancements or new solutions to provide action-based analytics to capture changes needed and continuously improve the accuracy of procedural supplies.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or a related field of study from an accredited college or university. OR
- 6 or more years of related experience in spend management.
- Clinicians must have 3 or more years of experience and be certified in one of the following areas: Registered Nurse, Interventional Radiology Technologist, Surgical Technologist, Respiratory Therapist, Cath Lab Technologist, Electrophysiology Technologist.
- 3 or more years of experience working with Perioperative products.
Preferred:
- Master's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or a related field of study from an accredited college or university.
- Certified Surgical Services Manager Credential - Association of perioperative Registered Nurses (AORN)
- TUKHS Lean certification
