D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a

Permit Manager for their Main Office Department. oversee all aspects of permits, plan packages and architecture.    

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the timely preparation and submission of individual lot Building Permits
  • Coordinate all permit submittals
  • Plan preparation
  • Facilitate communication with architects
  • Develop department overhead budget
  • Interface with all municipal governing bodies, pulic utilities and industry associations
  • Oversee the field operation and production times that the homes are ready for homeowner orientations and occupancy
  • Set build times on each plan and provide schedules to meet the build times
  • Review vendor surveys each month before they are sent out
  • Visit job sites periodically and enforce policies

Supervisory Responsibilities 

Directly supervises two or more employees in Permitting.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.            

 

 

Qualifications
 

Education and/or Experience   

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Must have a vehicle, a valid driver's license, and be willing to travel.
