Job Overview
This role will begin the day by working at Zeppelin Cafe as our Barista, providing excellent customer service and high-quality custom coffee beverages and grab and go breakfast to our guests. Following the cafe closure the role transforms into a Prep Cook for our onstie resturant, PLS on Post, preparing the ingredients for our evening menu of smash burgers, milkshakes and delicious sides!
Responsibilities
BARISTA

Develops enthusiastically satisfied customers all of the time.

Provides quality beverages consistently for all customers

Maintains Quality store operations

Contributes to store profitability

Takes responsibility to learn all aspects of the barista position

All other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.
PREP COOK
-
Complete opening and closing checklists.

Refer to Daily Prep List at the start of each shift for assigned duties.

Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment.

Understands and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.

Portions food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications.

Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, walls grills, broilers, fryers, pasta cookers, sauté burners, convection oven, flat top range and refrigeration equipment.

All other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.
Qualifications
Education/Formal Training
- High school education or equivalent experience.
Experience
- Previous experience in a customer service role strongly preferred and prior experience as a prep cook required.
Knowledge/Skills
- Must have excellent customer service skills.

Position regularly involves lifting product cases weighing up to 70 lbs.

Pushing and pulling carts is required. Regular bending to lift items and supplies. No kneeling.

Physically strenuous -prolonged standing, walking, lifting and carrying throughout entire shift in indoor environment.
