GENERAL FUNCTION: Works under minimal supervision to ensure commercial loan system exceptions are identified and remediated within the established service level agreements (SLA) and compliance requirements. This includes, but is not limited to, billing, rate, structure, and financial discrepancies or illogical combinations, adjustments for standard maintenance, and rate uploads. Responsibilities require a high degree of organization to ensure that the various reporting frequencies (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually) are met. The functions for this position are high impacting, both financial and non-financial, on multimillion dollar loans with potential for high-level customer and Bancorp impact.

While operating within the Bank’s risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Investigates and independently researches and remediates complex system and account discrepancies

Reviews automated rate files daily to ensure all rates are updated correctly

Updates manual rates in the commercial loan system that directly impacts hundreds of loans and therefore requires a high degree of accuracy

Identifies and remediates billing, rate, structure, and financial system issues that prevent a loan from working appropriately

Proficient at reviewing legal documentation, when applicable, to validate and update the appropriate transactions in order to remediate system issues

Performs root cause analysis and recommends appropriate procedural improvements to minimize future issues

Provides high degree of professional correspondence both verbally and written

Maintains and applies proficient knowledge of commercial loans including applicable internal systems, policies, and regulations

Safeguards sensitive data to ensure all customer information is handled appropriately to protect customer identity and meet compliance requirements

Assists with ad hoc requests related to commercial loans projects and issue resolution

Proficient at reviewing legal documentation, when applicable, to validate and process requested inquiries

Works closely with other members of the department to ensure exceptional support is being provided to the client base, and assist other commercial servicing teams during peak volume

Involved in system testing of new systems/enhancements, upgrade releases.

Monitor Exception reports for aged items, out of service level items and Affiliate follow up items.

Responsible for escalating any system or process issues identified as potential process or system enhancements.

Responsible for the monitoring and research of any items on various daily reports/systems used by the department.

Participates in other projects or duties as assigned
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED:

Bachelors or equivalent combination of training and experience.

Minimum of 3 years’ experience within the commercial banking or financial industry.

Demonstrated professional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

Strong customer service skills.

Strong analytical skills.

Proficient with the various Commercial Loan systems

Able to work independently to meet deadlines with a low margin of error.
