THE ROLE
The Email Marketing Coordinator will assist in the execution of strategic email marketing plans that supports Sotheby’s goal of building profitable, long-term client relationships and loyalty. Reporting into the Associate Vice President of Customer Engagement, this role will be responsible for the deployment of email marketing programs, A/B testing, campaign reporting and project management. The successful candidate will not only be well-versed in e-mail marketing best practices but can also manage multiple projects simultaneously with a commitment to operational excellence.
As a key member of the Growth team, this role will work cross-functionally across global marketing, events, and category department teams to support Sotheby’s customer lifecycle goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate email campaign scheduling, campaign building, quality assurance
- Deploy one-time, triggered, journey-based, and dynamic email campaigns
- Collaborate with internal partners for QA and approvals
- Monitor, measure, record and optimize performance of campaigns
- Support AVP of Customer Engagement, Event & Marketing managers in development of list plans and segments for each email
- Support ideation of conversion and reactivation email marketing strategies
- Oversee email production schedule, ensuring all stakeholders meet specified deadlines to ensure timely deployments
- Keep current on email best practices, contact strategies, creative and competitor analysis
IDEAL EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES
- 1+ years of email marketing experience, CRM, or related role
- Experience operating directly in email marketing platforms such as Braze, Iterable, Zkipster, Adobe Experience Cloud, or ExactTarget/Salesforce Marketing Cloud
- Understanding of email deliverability metrics & technical integrations
- HTML/CSS email coding experience
- Solid proficiency in MS Excel/Google Sheets and data management is strongly preferred
- Experience with design programs such as Figma, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign is a plus
- Familiarity with analytics platforms such as Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

The proposed base salary for this position ranges from $60,000-$68,000. In addition to base salary successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus, as well as a competitive benefits package. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered.
This is a hybrid role based out of our New York Headquarters.
