What You’ll Do Here
You will work with Attorneys, Realtors, and Lenders to close real estate transactions. Manage and facilitate the closing process for residential real estate transactions. Tasks include the preparation and assembly of closing documents and settlement statements. Balance receipts and disbursements. Carefully review all closing instructions and agreements. Should be able to prioritize and be able to make independent decisions. Work closely with title officers, the underwriting team, and directly with customers and consumers to resolve any issues and to get transactions closed and funded.
- Review documents, closing instructions, and closing figures submitted by Realtors, Attorneys, and Lenders for compliance and requirements to close.
- Communicate requirements and give status updates to all parties in the transaction, whether those parties are in person or remotely attending the closing.
- Enter closing figures, balance and finalize settlement statements for disbursement, and distribute to appropriate parties
- Create transaction documents as required based on the requirements, instructions, and details of each transaction
- Work with title officers and underwriting to clear title exceptions
- Timely submission of accurate documents for recording
What You Bring
- 2+ years of experience with title and escrow duties.
- Understanding of escrow processes, real estate transactions, and regulatory requirements in Illinois.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to quickly assess situations and make decisions.
- Ability to organize, analyze, and distribute information. Must be able to spot and address irregularities or issues.
- Able to handle confidential information and documents.
