Job Responsibilities
- Review Engineering Change Notices and assess for potential impact on operations.
- Identify issues and develop interdepartmental strategies for implementation of Engineering Change Notices
- Track project implementation status including plant and supplier inventory levels, PPAP status, tooling status, and other critical information
- Direct the materials organization toward stated project implementation objectives
- Analyze overall project impact to materials. Identify and communicate pertinent information regarding lead times, inventory, costs and project financial risks to Change Control and Materials management
- Work in partnership with Engineering and Division Materials, Corporate Quality, Corporate Purchasing, suppliers, and the plants to ensure smooth project implementations
- Coordinate and process disposition of obsolete material associated with ECN implementation
- Create reports and write scripts as required
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Skills
- Self-motivated, organized, and flexible to a consistently changing and developing environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including written, verbal, listening and presentation are required
- Demonstrate ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in fast paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects
- Negotiation skills, including conflict management
- Mechanical aptitude including ability to read blueprints and communicate technical information clearly
- Microsoft software proficiency (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
Education and Experience
- Four-year degree in Business Administration (or other related field) or 5+ years industry experience required
- 2-3 years of experience in materials or manufacturing support preferred
