Senior Project Manager - Financial Analyst

- Manage portfolio and project financial plans across STS populations of work and provide analysis and detailed reporting to support the financial management aspects of delivery
- Support teams to forecast anticipated capacity and spend and analyze differences between actual capacity and project costs to forecasted capacity and project spend to improve forward looking forecasts
- Partner with PPM teams to provide guidance on project financial management and reporting practices
- Partner with PPM leadership to develop and implement standards for project financial reporting
- Provide job aids, guidelines, and training for PPM teammates to drive maturity and consistency in project financial management practices, new hire onboarding, and project management practices
- Partner with peers and technology teams to mature and automate processes and tools
- Act as a local subject matter expert and point of contact representing the CPMO to support financial management and reporting activities
- Lead and support various audiences through process and practice changes
What you have
- An undergraduate degree
- A minimum of 10 years of related financial/business analysis, planning, process improvement and project management experience
- 5 years of Project and Portfolio Financials experience with a budget of $200M+.
- Initiative to identify business questions, scope and logically structure an analysis, extract relevant insights and communicate with a point of view
- Self-motivated, results-oriented self-starter
- Adept leadership, communication (written and oral), and partnering skills
- Ability to build relationships with – and provide thought leadership to – VPs, SVPs and EVPs
- Experience thriving in a dynamic and fast-moving work environment
- Experience effectively managing several workstreams/projects concurrently−Superior financial analysis skills and attention to detail
- Understanding of accounting principles and finance concepts such as NPV and ROI
- Experience writing policies and developing training content.
- Experience sourcing data from database applications and working efficiently with large data sets
- Strong PC skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and financial modeling
- Experience with Clarity
Preferred:
- Experience with enterprise tools such as SAP, PeopleSoft, Clarity, Business Objects, and Tableau
- Prior financial services industry experience
- Interest in and strong knowledge of project management in a matrixed technology organization
- Knowledge of Agile development methodologies including Scrum and Kanban
- MBA or similar degree
