Duties include:





 

  • Performs various research operations relative to ongoing investigatory activities of the Gun Violence Research Center; may conduct independently or as assigned specialized research for a particular project.
  • Participates in the development of performance standards, selection of methodology and instrumentation and coordination of research areas to ensure conformance with the goals and objectives of the Center.
  • Pursues peer reviewed publications on gun violence research in reputable science and research journals

Qualifications

 

Minimum Education and ExperienceCertifications/LicensesRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ph.D. Degree or equivalent in a relevant science, or a Master’s Degree in a relevant science plus three (3) years of related research experience.
  • Applicant must be able to interact well with people in a professional environment as well as community settings, should have good organizational and analytical skills, effective verbal and written communication skills, and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. Should show interest in some aspect of gun violence research. 
  • Knowledge of IRB and human research protection regulations required. 
  • Must have valid driver’s license and vehicle as occasional travel within NJ may be required.
