As a Software Engineer on the Creator Success team you will use your experience to build and deploy products within experiences for Creators. You will engage with the developer teams, and build solutions that others can benefit from.
We seek to provide all Creators on our platform to have access to Live Operations tooling and frameworks to help them succeed. We will provide a reusable framework that scales to our millions of Creators and Experiences.
You will:
- Report to the Engineering Manager of Roblox Creator Success
- Help the integration of Live Operations modules with development teams to validate utility and scalability
- Provide in-depth engineering direction and design to development teams including project audits, architecture consulting and code assistance
- Implement initiatives with internal product teams to reuse the platform to simplify the work flow of creators
- Explore long-term strategies to support and onboard developers in automated, interactive or contextual ways
You have:
- 4+ years engineering experience creating content using a major game engine such as Roblox, Unity or Unreal
- Experience in Lua/Luau to build elegant systems that conform with best engineering practices; ; strong game architecture design in 3D games
- Proficient in C#, Java, Go or any other object-oriented programming language
- Understanding of the Roblox ecosystem with desire to become an expert on the unique challenges and opportunities of development on the platform
- History of active participation in developer or open source communities and a passion for promoting best practices
For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.
Annual Salary Range
$189,110—$233,840 USD
Roles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
