What you bring to the role
- JD from a top tier law school and member in good standing of a state bar
- A minimum of three years of corporate and transactional experience at a top tier national or international law firm and/or an in-house legal department
- Experience supporting or working at a public company is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with cap table management, equity compensation plans, executive compensation, and public company reporting
- Very diligent with excellent judgment and strong communication, time management, and organizational skills
- Analytical mindset and impeccable attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to perform and thrive in a rapidly changing, fast paced environment
- Flexibility and creativity, with the initiative to work through multiple solutions to issues and proactively and reliably drive projects forward
- Able to excel both independently and in a team environment
- Passion for a data-driven approach to building efficient processes and operations
- Roll-up your sleeves, low-ego approach to collaborating across the organization and willingness to learn and share knowledge
- Committed to providing excellent customer service to internal business clients and our Legal team colleagues, responding quickly to urgent matters and executing proactively

Compensation - At Human Interest, there are a number of factors that are used to determine the appropriate pay range for each position. We take into account the cost of labor for each position in various markets across the US. The base salary for this position spans $170,000 - $185,000 and represents the minimum in our lowest geographic region to a maximum in our highest geographic region. The salary that we offer to a new employee within this range is based on their location within the US, their relevant job-related skills, and experience. At Human Interest, base salary is one component of the overall Total Rewards package. Depending on the position, additional compensation components such as bonus, commission, and equity may be offered.
