Job Description and Duties
This position is Hybrid and eligible for telework up to “three (3)” days a week, in accordance with the Statewide Telework Policy, and will be required to report to the office as needed/required. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.

Under the administrative direction of the Chief in the Asset Management Branch (AMB), the Assistant Chief manages and provides general direction to major functions within the Asset Enhancement/Surplus Sales Unit and the State Owned Leasing and Development Unit of AMB; assists the Chief in developing, coordinating, and carrying out departmental policy; and acts for the Chief as assigned. All work is to be accomplished in accordance with applicable State law, State Policy, DGS policies and procedures, AMB policies, best real estate business and managerial practices, Government Code, and State Administrative Manual.
This position is designated under the Conflict of Interest Code. The position is responsible for making or participating in the making of governmental decisions that may potentially have a material effect on personal financial interests. The appointee is required to complete Form 700 within 30 days of appointment.
