Essential Functions
-
Responsible for Safey and Health performance at Gresham Fab 4 facility.
-
Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations and handles all contact with appropriate agencies.

Oversee the development, planning, and implementation of the Safety and Health Programs including OSHA policies, procedures, business processes and prevention initiatives.

Participate in Corporate Safety/Health initiatives as required.

Develop required Safety training and conduct routine audits to ensure the Safety and Health of the facility and employees

Use appropriate communications and escalations to inform upper management of all Safety related events including updates until root cause, corrective & preventive actions are identified and implemented.

Provides governance to ensure accurate systemic root cause and preventive actions are complete, as well are develop projects and initiatives
-
Must be willing to work in the field with the Safety Team on projects including compiling data for permits and reports.

Must be willing to lead Safety/Health investigations and deliberating
Requirements/Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
-
Has experience and knowledge in the area of safety and health management including, but not limited to OSHA, Ergonomics, Emergency Response, Hot Work, Confined Space

Demonstrated success developing and managing a staff of Safety and Health professionals.

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate, influence, manage and drive results.

Ability to apply Safety, Health and regulatory knowledge to business decisions including the development of implementation plans for applicable requirements.

Strong ability to negotiate and manage effective change relative to Safety aspects associated with people changes, equipment and process changes.
-
Ability to run an effective meeting with focus on problem statement and results.
-
Ability to build, motivate and lead cross-functional teams to meet project objectives, with a focus on measurable results.

Can recognize the need, and effectively escalate in the event of conflict or misalignment threatens the success of a project.

Strong computer literacy skills including mastery knowledge of Microsoft suite (excel, word, power-point) skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to influence and drive message on complex content in front of peers.
Required Qualifications
-
5 years of Safety and Health experience in semiconductor, electronics manufacturing or other chemically intensive manufacturing industry.

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Science, Engineering, Occupational Health, Management
Preferred Qualifications
-
CIH, CSP, PE or other certifications
-
Experience in Oregon rules and regulations for safety compliance
Critical Physical Requirements

Able to lift, push, pull 25 lbs; carry 25 lbs; sit 50%; stand 25%; walk 25%; must be able to perform activities that include stooping, reaching, handling, thinking, hearing, talking, seeing, w-ork alone, work around others.
