Job Description:
About the Position:
Title: Senior Manager, Finance Transformation
Reports to: VP Finance, AWP Aerials
Location: Reporting into a Terex location on a hybrid schedule, or remote-based out of the United States!
Position Overview:
The Senior Manager, Finance Transformation has leadership responsibility for continuously improving and executing the Genie financial operating system to achieve strategic and financial goals. This includes, but is not limited to, building a framework for finance process excellence and continuous improvement, enhancing the financial operating system, modernizing financial tools & processes, and supporting strategic business cases that lead to expanded profit opportunities. The ideal candidate will have extensive operational finance experience, be passionate about business process excellence, and have demonstrated experience leading financial governance and business process improvement initiatives. Daily activities include working closely with the Genie finance leadership team on a variety of finance transformation, process improvement, and financial modeling projects. The role reports into the Vice President-Finance with dotted-line relationship to Genie’s Director of Global Continuous Improvement.
Key Responsibilities:

Work with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for continuous process improvement and/or larger scale strategic projects; document and map current and future states to identify, communicate, validate and gain consensus on sustainable process improvements; gather and translate business requirements into functional requirements; and project manage the teams to ensure successful implementation

Enhance Genie’s finance operating system, ensure harmonization with Genie’s cross-functional operating system design, and develop & execute proper financial governance

Review existing financial processes; develop strategies to streamline, further leverage or standardize them; implement best practices and policies, automating where possible; and implement and track KPI’s to track finance process effectiveness

Position the Finance team to be forward-thinking by constantly evaluating the business environment, how we adapt to internal/external changes, and how we can bridge ambiguous business problems to actionable reporting and metrics

Modernize strategic business systems and tools including finance process automation and digital enhancements/improvements.

Partner with commercial and operations business & finance teams to develop business cases and ad-hoc modeling that provide insight and analysis for operational decision-making; identify risks and opportunities with well-articulated position based on sound judgment and that balances short-term and long-term impacts
Support meeting Genie diversity, inclusion, and equity (DEI) goals & initiatives
Basic Qualifications:
-
10+ years’ experience in finance at large, multinational company
-
Demonstrated experience in leading and facilitating formal process improvement initiatives
-
Bachelor’s degree in finance or closely related field, MBA preferred
Desired Technical Skills / Experience:
-
Minimum 10 years total experience in at 2-3 finance business partnering positions (commercial finance, FP&A, operations finance preferred)

Business & operating system assessment experience
-
Structured, data-driven and analytical approach to problem solving using the PDCA philosophy
-
Experience in an international environment and ability to interact successfully with different cultures
-
Experience reporting within complex legal entity and multi-currency reporting structures
-
Experience managing key projects which cross departments and business entities
-
Experience with leading, coaching, and facilitating teams (ex: business process improvement kaizens)
-
Experience with change management (ex: Kotter’s 8 Steps, ADKAR)
-
Proficient in One Stream, Hyperion, Cognos or other BI tool and advanced user of Excel
-
Proficient in Oracle, SAP or other major ERP
-
Strong collaboration and strategic decision-making skills

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Excellent project management, organizational and time management skills

Must be willing and able to travel (approximately 10%)
The salary range for this position is $145,000 - $175,000. This is the US national average for this position. The salary range may be higher or lower depending on the applicant’s location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and/or long-term incentive.
