Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer

Job Location: Remote

*preference to those in driving distance to St. Louis, MO or Herndon, VA*

 

This role will oversee the design, specification, development and documentation of cutting-edge solutions that enable evolve24 to answer client questions and address customer needs better and faster than ever before.

 

Duties Include:

• Developing new features and writing scripts for automation in a Google cloud environment
• Engaging with external stakeholders to understand client requirements and develop innovative technical solutions
• Working cross-functionally with other internal departments to drive efficiencies and optimize customer solutions
• Delivering thought leadership to allow for continuous improvement and innovation in process, technique, and implementation
• Researching opportunities for data acquisition and new uses for existing data
• Ensuring project systems meet business requirement and industry best practices

 

Requirements:

• Established experience with cloud services
• GCP preferred
• AWS
• Azure
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE domain
• 3+ Years demonstrable experience with DevOps toolbox: Configuration Management (Ansible, Terraform etc),Containers (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm), Databases (Mysql, Big Table, Big Query)
• Experience with scripting languages required: Python and Bash
• Experience with other languages desired: Java, Golang
• Experience in supporting Linux in production environments
• Experience supporting Data Pipelines at scale
• Experience with Cloud Native Microservice Architecture
• Experience with Apache Airflow and Apache Beam
• Experience with Lucene Indexes
• Solr Cloud Preferred
• ElasticSearch
• Experience with CI/CD Pipelines.

• Experience with Monitoring
• Datadog
• Stackdriver

• Experience with queuing systems:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• 10+ years of IT industry experience
• 5+ years of experience in a DevOps / Site Reliability Engineer or related role
• 3+ years of experience with GCP
• Cloud native as first approach to solving problems
• Quick learner and have the ability to change course quickly
• Demonstrated analytical, data analysis, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Must be able to work independently or with a team, under minimum supervision
