We are looking for a Director of Paid Media who has excellent problem-solving skills and an in-depth understanding of paid digital advertising – namely Google and social. The right fit for this role is someone with a positive, can-do attitude who can develop and drive paid media strategy. Reporting into the VP of Paid Media and Growth, you will work across multiple brands and businesses, managing a small team. The Director of Paid Media needs to be a skilled communicator, relentlessly focused on a business’s bottom line and highly analytical – able to work hand in hand with the insights team on effective reporting processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Campaign Planning, Management & Optimization:
- Experience managing digital advertising campaigns, including Google Ads and Facebook, with an emphasis on revenue generation and return on ad spend
- Strong knowledge of digital media channels: paid search, re-marketing and data feeds. Deep background in customer acquisition strategies both online and offline.
- Create and manage campaigns to effectively deliver client objectives and targets
- Ensure best practice set up and ongoing management of campaigns
- Oversee optimization of campaigns manually and through utilization of bid management tools
- Complete and manage the forecast and plan of monthly budgets in line with client objectives
- Development and planning of performance media strategy largely independently
- Management of direct reports to effectively manage & optimize campaigns
Reporting & Analysis:
- Interpret performance reporting data on a regular basis
- Present campaign strategy and report on key performance milestones
- Be able to direct and/or execute optimizations based on performance analysis
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/ Professional experience
- At least 6+ years of paid search experience at an agency or direct business to consumer environment
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field
- At least three (3) years in managing or directing a Marketing team of at least 2 people
- Strong analytical skills with 4+ years of campaign response analysis
- Must possess strong analytical skills and be metrics driven with experience in developing marketing operations metrics and dashboards
- Proven track record of developing marketing strategy, managing systems and processes and overseeing media budgets
- Experience with trackable high-volume acquisition and campaigns online
- Very proficient with MS Excel, MS Access and other standard office productivity tools (Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Understanding of web analytics and web analytics tools (Omniture, Coremetrics, Google Analytics, or Web trends)
- Knowledge of social media advertising and online display advertising through paid search networks (Google, Bing) and other ad networks
- Google Analytics, Bing Ads and Google AdWords certification a plus
- Experience with A/B and multivariate testing
- High energy, enjoys manipulating highly complex data set, and has a strong desire to own and master paid search channel
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves and get the job done
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and superb attention to detail
- Ability to apply logical thinking to define problems, collect/consolidate/analyze data and draw valid conclusions from potentially incomplete data
- A plus:
- Experience with data feed management services such as ChannelAdvisor
- SEO experience
- Experience with eCommerce platforms and Content Management Systems, such as Shopify is a plus.
