Job Description: The Sr. Compensation Analyst is responsible for providing compensation program leadership, advice and services to business units. This person will contribute by designing, administering and delivering compensation programs that are administered effectively and in accordance with the organization's Compensation strategy. The Sr Compensation Analyst is responsible for administration of annual and/or variable incentive plans, the annual compensation cycle, salary administration, job analysis and evaluation, as well as management of compensation data, tools and completion of compensation surveys. The Sr. Compensation Analyst partners with the Human Resources team, predominately the HR Business Partners, Recruiting and HR Systems to maintain the continuity of the compensation cycle.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform all responsibilities in accordance with Competencies and Information Protection requirements.
  • Manage the compensation programs for assigned client groups through partnership with the HR Business Partner. 
  • Participate in the design and administration of annual incentive, variable incentive and/or long- term incentives programs for employees and executives.
  • Participate in the annual compensation cycle, including analysis, to ensure that salaries remain competitive within guidelines, updating the salary structure and leading the merit review process.
  • Evaluate and maintain salaried, hourly, middle and top management job descriptions to ensure pay is consistent and competitive with market as well as across job families.
  • Manage vendor relationships and related program software for Compensation tools. 
  • Participate in compensation surveys and recommend action as necessary.
  • Participate in the administration of performance appraisal and salary administration program, review changes in wages and salaries in conformance with those policies. 
  • Audit evaluation of positions and application of existing classifications to positions.
  • Effectively measure and evaluate the value and validity of Compensation programs and make recommendations as appropriate.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of federal and state laws pertaining to compensation. Have a thorough knowledge of Credit Union personnel policies, procedures, and issues pertaining to compensation to guide and direct staff as necessary. 
  • Partner with leadership, HR Business Partners and managers regarding issues, questions and concerns; taking appropriate action to see that they are resolved.
  • Participate in special projects, plan design and program implementations as assigned.
  • Perform additional duties, as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Human Resources or other closely related field or equivalent work or education experience required.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in the HR, Compensation field required.
  • Minimum two years of experience sales incentive plan design and administration preferred.
  • Experience leading project teams preferred.
  • Excellent conceptual, analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Expert-level Excel required.
  • ​Proficient in Workday
  • Ability to prepare and present professional level presentations to Sr. leadership teams.
  • Experience calculating commissions preferred.
  • CCP certification or continuing education preferred.
  • Full-time hours required, with additional hours as necessary.
  • Ability to manage large client groups.
