Job Description: Accounting Manager Job Description:
- Maintain a tight monthly financial close timeline and schedule
- Assist the Controller in preparing timely and accurate financial statements
- Manage daily treasury functions, including preparation of monthly bank reconciliations to ensure proper transacting by the staff accountant
- Perform payroll processing function
- Perform daily AR reconciliations for e-commerce sales
- Prepare and submit weekly reports for bank compliance
- Oversee the cost accounting function
- Oversee 1099 processes and filings
- Ensure timely submission of corporate filings; including but not limited to Sales & Use tax
- Manage, train and mentor the staff and senior accountant in performing day-to-day accounting functions, including planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and motivating employees
- Assist in development, process improvements, and implementation of new procedures as necessary
- 5+ years accounting experience required
- 3+ in public accounting experience and 2+ years in supervisory capacity preferred
- Bachelor’s degree Business/Accounting/ Finance required
- CPA preferred
- Very strong GAAP knowledge required
- Experience with inventory required
- Experience with preparing financial statements required
- Experience with multi-currency and consolidations preferred
- Must be highly proficient using Microsoft Excel
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- A proactive person who can multitask, has sharp decision-making skills, and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with a high sense of urgency
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work extended hours during critical periods
