Job Description: Seattle Search Group, the leader in staffing and recruiting, has teamed up with a local tax firm to find an experienced Tax Director for their Kirkland, WA office.
In this role, the Tax Director is charged with applying knowledge to understand potential tax issues, and recognizing, communicating potential risks and potential changes in the tax policy and making top-level decisions regarding filing, preparation and resolution of questions from federal / state agencies. This person will be involved in firm-wide research projects.
Ideal Candidate:
· Technical Advisor - collaborate with team members to ensure development of learning content for both internal and external use
· Some knowledge of GAAP , preferred
· The ideal candidate would join with a small book of business, preferred but not required
· Capable of effectively developing and maintaining client relationships
· Capable of effectively training staff
Requirements:
· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting
· 10+ years of experience in public accounting at a senior level
· Candidates must be familiar with the tax consulting process and possess the analytical skills necessary for the effective diagnosis, development and implementation of solutions to clients' tax needs.
· Significant demonstrated experience managing business tax engagements with a deep understanding of individual, partnership, S corporation and C corporation concepts
· CPA a must
